Lullaby for the Buoy
Oil on linen canvas, varnished
60x80 cm, 3 cm deep, ready for hanging
(23,6x32,5 inch, 1,2 inch deep)
2021
While painting the waves I imagined the whole time how the buoy was cradled and rocked by the sea. Indeed, the sound of waves can be a good lullaby for humans, too! The special harmony of the painting is achieved by using complementary colours.
This painting participated in the vernissage of Makowski Gallery in Berlin, Hotel Adlon.
