For this oil painting I made a paperboat and let it sail in the wild ocean waters of Atlantis at the coast of Tenerife. I captured the moment when the paperboat was easily sliding down a big wave, unharmed.
The vertical orientation and minimalist style were inspired by Japanese engravings to underline the dynamics of the moment.
