The corals of the Red Sea are known for their remarkable resistance to rising sea temperatures, but global warming remains a significant threat. During summer of 2024 the water temperature of the Red Sea was around 35-36 °C, causing massive coral bleaching.
To highlight this issue I used thermochromic paints for the corals, which reacts to heat by bleaching at temperatures above 31°, with the change fully reversible.
The project aims to support the RED SEA PROJECT™, an international non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and conservation of marine ecosystems and biodiversity. 10 € out of every purchase will be donated the project.
